Ayodhya Ram Mandir News: Yogi Adityanath reviews master plan for Ayodhya city-2031, bats for sustainable development

Ayodhya Ram Mandir News: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday reviewed the master plan of Ayodhya city-2031 and directed the officials to develop it as a model city for urban development based on ease of living.

Seeing Ayodhya as a climate-friendly city, the chief minister directed officials to plan the project in such a way that all boats and steamers plying on the Saryu river run on green fuel and road vehicles run on electricity .

During the meeting, the chief minister insisted on a “common building code” in areas around the Ram temple, saying buildings of similar size and uniform paint on them would add to the aesthetics of the project.

“As envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the all-round development of ‘Dharmanagari’ is the top priority of the government, and the people of the country and the world are eager to see ‘Divya, Bhavya, Navya Ayodhya’ (magnificent new Ayodhya),” he said.

Asking the officials to focus on sustainability, he said that the present urban population of Ayodhya is around 5.5 lakh and it is estimated to reach 11-12 lakh by 2031.

“In such a situation, the master plan of this important city has so far been prepared keeping in mind the future needs,” he said.

The Chief Minister also directed the officials to prepare a proposal to name all intersections after saints, women and great characters of Ramayana.

Keeping in view the tourists, he directed the officials to plan a parking area of a maximum distance of two kilometers east of the temple during off-season and extend it to five kilometers during festivals.

The Ayodhya Master Plan 2031 proposes six entry points: Lucknow, Sultanpur, Rae Bareli, Ambedkar Nagar, Gorakhpur and Gonda to the city of Ayodhya.
