Botanical Garden wins ‘Best Metro Station’ award on DMRC’s 30th anniversary

A DMRC statement on Friday said that Botanic Garden Metro Station won the Best Station Award and Shastri Park Metro Station won the title of “Best Metro Station”.

Over 70 employees of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) have been honored with the Managing Director of the Year Award in recognition of their outstanding contributions in the past one year, officials said.

DMRC celebrated its 30th anniversary at the Bharat Mandapam on Friday.

“Senior Station Manager Priti Kumari received the ‘Metro Woman of the Year’ award, while the ‘Metro Man of the Year’ award was presented to Director of Transport Mohammad Abdulsueb Alha,” the statement said. Mohammad Abdussueb Ahamad.”

“The Botanical Garden Metro Station won the Best Metro Station Award and the Shastri Park Metro Station won the Best Metro Garage Award. Besides, a special award for Raj Bhasha’s contribution in usage and promotion was also conferred to Senior Station Manager Gopesh Kumar Verma,” the statement said.

Assistant Security Manager Vijendra Singh was one of the recipients.

According to officials, a case of molestation was reported at Mandi House metro station. He revealed the details to the police, and Singh’s actions helped the police solve a quite sensitive case.

DMRC opened the first corridor between Shahdara and Tis Hazari on December 25, 2002. Currently, the Delhi Metro network is approximately 392.44 kilometers long and has 288 stations.
