Dhruv Jurel’s emotionally harsh words for Rohit ‘bhaiya’ and Dravid ‘sir’ melt hearts

Dhruv Jurel showed immense perseverance and courage to help India win the fourth Test by five wickets to seal the series against England, the youngster became National spotlight. Jurel performed well in both innings, first hitting a career-best 90 with the tail-end batting and then leading India’s chase with Shubman Gill as the team was stunned at 120/5 to 192 points. Jurel, who was aptly named Man of the Match, fresh off his victory in the Ranchi Test, struck a chord with people with a post on social media. Jurel was part of the Indian team from the start and although he had to wait for his turn, Dhruv made his debut in the previous Test match in Rajkot after KS Bharat wasted another opportunity.

Jurrell hit an impressive 46 in his first innings for India, but his real test came in Ranchi, where he exceeded expectations with a stellar performance to help India. However, none of this would have been possible without the support of Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid, who through a short and crisp The post sums it up perfectly.

“Thank you Rohit bhaiya, Rahul sir for trusting this boy,” he posted on X with the heartwarming picture.

Jurel makes his hot debut

Jurel’s mother sold her jewelery to ensure that her son stayed on the right path, while his father endured the ridicule of his neighbors for supporting his cricketing dreams, ultimately achieving a lifelong dream of playing for India. When Jurel took over the Test cap from Dinesh Karthik, he immediately sought out his mother and humbly touched her feet acknowledging her journey on this momentous occasion for him play a key role.

When Jurel stepped up, he did. With India struggling at 177/7 and at risk of falling short of England’s first-innings total of 353, Jurel’s resilience was on display. He made a comeback with a 77-run partnership with Kuldeep Yadav and despite losing his partner, he struck the ball beautifully with the tail end. By the time he finished, Jurrell had taken India’s score to 307, just 46 runs behind England.

In the second dig, where India needed Jurel to repeat his first-innings heroics, the 22-year-old performed better. His unbeaten 39 may have been more significant than his first-innings 90 as Jurrell battled against an in-form England spin team and went against his instinct to bide his time and get into the game. He and Gill put up an unbeaten 72 to help India cross the finish line. At that point, one more wicket would have truly propelled England through.
