At a meeting in Ludhiana on Saturday, BKU Lakhowal general secretary Harinder Singh Lakhowal unveiled the strategy regarding Gramin Bharat Bandh.

What are their demands?

The demands mirror those made by two farmer union forums advocating the ‘Dilli Chalo’ movement. Apart from minimum support price (MSP) for crops and pension for farmers, there are also employee-related issues such as withdrawal of implementation of operational performance-linked wages (OPS), amendments in labor laws and various other requirements.
