Johor declares Sunday a public holiday to celebrate JDT’s success in the Malaysia Cup final

Johor Baru, Nov 25 – The Johor government today declared an occasional public holiday this Sunday (Nov 27) in conjunction with the success of the Johor Darul Tajim (JDT) football team advancing to the 2022 Malaysia Cup final. declare.

Mentri Besar Datuk On Hafiz Gazi said the state government has also agreed to a public holiday for this Monday (28 November), following an announcement by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yesterday.

He thanked the Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Almarahum Sultan Iskandar for His Majesty’s consent to celebrate JDT’s success and the Tunku of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim for inspiring the “Orang Muda Johor” and supporting the state’s athletes. Mahkota was also thanked.

Meanwhile, State Secretary Tan Sri Dr Azmi Rohani said in a statement today that the timely public holiday was given to make it easier for supporters to watch the next match as well as to enable them to plan their travel.
