Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson scored an unbeaten 71 runs in just 33 deliveries in their win over Lucknow Super Giants in Orange on Saturday. The cap list is getting closer to Virat Kohli. His counterpart KL Rahul also climbed to the third spot and despite losing the match, he top-scored for the team with an innings of 78 runs. Samson has a score of 385 points, while Rahul is close behind with 378 points. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli continues to lead the way with 430 runs in 9 innings.

Rishabh Pant also topped the Orange Cap list after scoring 31 runs against Mumbai Indians in Saturday afternoon’s match. Pant is now fourth with 371 points, while Kolkata Knight Riders’ Sunil Narine is fifth with 357 points in eight games.

Delhi Capitals defeated Mumbai Indians in the afternoon match, further complicating the latter’s chances of qualifying for the playoffs. However, Tilak Varma hit a quick half-century in the chase of 259 runs for MI, climbing to seventh spot in the Orange Cap list and currently scoring 336 runs in 9 innings.

In the evening session, Lucknow Supergiants set a target of 197 for Royals at a sluggish Ekana Stadium, but the latter had no trouble chasing down the target to score eighth in nine games The victory further extended the lead by 6 points, with second-ranked KKR at the top of the list.

Sunday’s doubles match
