Mayawati in Lakhimpur: BJP govt serves capitalists, benefits from electoral bonds

Mayawati, chairperson of the Samajwadi Party (BSP), said that unlike other political parties that issue election manifestos containing unrealistic and alluring promises but fail to deliver, the BSP never believes in manifestos but believes in actions and therefore never publishes them declaration.

She was addressing an election rally at the Government International College (GIC) Sports Ground, Lakhimpur, on Tuesday, where Anshay Kalra from Khairy, Shyam Ki from Dhaurahra Shyam Kishor Awasthi, canvassing for votes with Mahendra Singh Yadav from neighboring Sitapur seat, said, “BJP will win if free and fair election, they will not be in power again because its old and new dramas, rhetoric and assurances have been exposed.”

In her 30-minute-long speech, the BSP chief clarified to the people that her party is fighting alone in the ongoing assembly elections and does not have any cooperation with the Congress, the BJP or any other opposition party.

She added that “due representation of all communities was ensured when party tickets were distributed.”

Mayawati took aim at the BJP time and time again and said: “BJP is a party whose words do not match its deeds and will not come to power again due to its capitalist, communal and flawed policies and operations.”

Accusing the BJP government of serving and protecting the interests of big capitalists and taking benefits from them through electoral bonds, she said, “It now appears that the BJP has also politicized investigative agencies just like the Congress party.”

“Whenever the BSP formed a government in Uttar Pradesh, it served the interests of farmers by providing them with affordable means of farming and ensuring due prices for their produce,” she said. However, under the BJP rule The farmers feel oppressed.”

She said the BJP government at the Center has failed to ensure proper development of the poor, Dalits, other backward castes and religious minorities due to its casteist, communal and capitalist practices.

She claimed, “Under the ruling BJP-centric government, even the reservation quota for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in government services has not been filled and reservation for government employees has also become ineffective. ”

She also claimed that the PPP government’s wrong economic policies have adversely affected the national economy, with poverty and unemployment rising and corruption remaining unchecked.

She said the state’s borders were not protected (under the BJP-centric rule) and that was a matter of concern.

Regarding the free ration scheme of the BJP government, the BJP president told the people that free ration is not distributed by the BJP or its government. The organization is funded by taxes people pay and says, “Instead of free rations, everyone has a job and that will be good for the poor.”

She promised the people that “if the BSP comes to power at the Centre, it will do solid work on the ground instead of making false promises like in Uttar Pradesh.”

She added that if the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas comes to power, it will work with the motive of “sarva jan hitay and sarva jan sukhay” to ensure that all sections of society, including the poor, unemployed, government employees, Dalits, OBCs and minorities benefit .

Senior leaders of the party, including regional president Hemraj, Uma Shankar Gautam, candidates Anshay Kalra, Shyam Kishore Shyam Kishor Awasthi, Mahendra Singh Yadava and others attended the event.
