Monarch’s friend claims King Charles won’t meet Prince Harry because of Queen Camilla

Prince Harry arrived in the UK on Wednesday to attend the 10th anniversary event of the Invincible Games at St Paul’s Cathedral. Despite initial speculation he might meet King Charles, the Duke of Sussex has been “snubbed” due to the British monarch’s busy schedule. While Prince Harry officiated the ceremony alone, King Charles hosted Buckingham Palace’s first garden party of the season. Despite a packed schedule for the King’s meeting with Prince Harry, a friend of the King has revealed the real reason why the father-son reunion could not take place.

Why won’t King Charles meet Prince Harry?

A friend of King Charles told The Daily Beast that the king will not meet Prince Harry because of the “cruel” comments he made about Queen Camilla in his explosive memoir “Backup.” The friend revealed: “Harry said such cruel and hurtful things to Camilla and made it very difficult for him.”

“Charles loves his son, but he also loves his wife. The past few months have made it abundantly clear how important she is; she is the backbone of the entire edifice,” the friend continued, adding, “Harry has made it very clear, very public, that he despises her. He’s forcing Charles to make a choice, which is a very stupid thing to do because Camilla and he chose each other a long time ago.”

“William had reservations but he accepted his father’s choice and went ahead with it. Harry made a different decision and one of the inevitable consequences of publicly abusing your stepmother is that it’s hard to see your father,” the source added .
