However, relatives of the deceased claimed that the deceased was murdered due to an old feud.

The incident reportedly took place in the old town of Kotwali district. According to police, Manjur Khan, an alleged drug addict, was here watching a woman bathe on an adjacent terrace. Meanwhile, the woman’s son Sonu protested. In an attempt to escape, Manjul slipped from the terrace and fell to the ground.

The family first took him to the district hospital with serious injuries. Here, he underwent emergency treatment and was referred to Jhansi Medical College. At the medical college, Manjul was pronounced dead. Later, the family came to Kotwali city and claimed that Sonu had an old grudge with Manjul and that he had deliberately beaten him to death.

The police lodged a complaint against Sonu and arrested him. SP City SP Gyanendra Kumar Singh said, “Preliminary investigation revealed that Manjul, a drug addict, was peeping on Sonu’s mother while she was taking a bath. When Sonu protested and tried to escape, he slipped from the terrace He died. However, we have registered a case and arrested Sonu based on the complaint of Manjur’s family. We are investigating the matter further.”
