Tejasvi Surya also emphasized that possible reforms have been proposed to the authorities and asked the BMRCL MD to consider these reforms. “Possible reforms have been raised with the authorities on several occasions and the new directors have been asked to consider their merits. The people of Bengaluru are grateful for the daily services of the Metro but taking the maintenance issues lightly will not be appreciated. I hope the BMRCL course is corrected. ” he added.

The Namma Metro Purple Line faced minor disruptions on Tuesday morning as a “technical glitch” affected services on one of the busiest lines of the Bengaluru Metro. This partly led to chaos as many people waited for trains to arrive, eventually leading to congestion at several subway stations on the Purple Line.

However, by 9:20 am, BMRCL engineers resolved the issue and services returned to normal. “The technical glitch on the Purple Line occurred at 9.20 am and the train was running at scheduled speed. More time is needed to normalize the cascading effect and run as planned. We apologize for the inconvenience caused,” BMRCL said .

Earlier, services on the Purple Line were also partially halted due to different technical reasons.
