Tesla layoffs: Pakistani-origin woman fired by Elon Musk says ‘it’s hard to give up…’

Elon Musk’s Tesla company continues to lay off employees, and a Pakistani woman is unemployed. She later shared an emotional note on LinkedIn detailing her experience working at the company. She added that while she no longer works at the company, her face will remain on the Tesla website.

“It’s a privilege to work with the most dedicated people who are putting their heart and soul into building charging technology and networks that not only serve Tesla drivers, but welcome all electric vehicles and make electric vehicle travel a seamless experience for everyone ,” she wrote on LinkedIn.

She revealed that her entire team of more than 500 members disbanded overnight. She further explained what she does at Tesla and how she and her team set “very high standards of excellence” for themselves and the industry through their work.

“Even though I’m no longer at Tesla, my face will still be on the Tesla website, reminding me of what we accomplished together as I find the next challenge to tackle,” she added, concluding her post.

Elon Musk fired Rebecca Tinucci, the electric car maker’s senior director of supercharging, and Daniel Ho, its head of new products. The tech billionaire reportedly said in an email that he would lay off employees who worked with the two executives.
