Pankaj Udas passed away on Monday
The last rites of famous ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas were performed on Tuesday after he passed away after a long illness. Apart from Vidya, Shankar Mahadevan, Zakir Hussain and Sunil Gavaskar were also present at the famous ghazal singer’s residence on Tuesday to pay their last respects .
The late singer’s daughter Nayaab Udhas shared the news on her social media. Nayab wrote in an Instagram post: “It is with a very heavy heart that we sadly inform you all that Padmashri Pankaj Udhas passed away on February 26, 2024 due to a long illness. Died.”
Vidya, meanwhile, was last seen in Anu Menon’s murder mystery novel Neeyat. The actor will star in the next installment of Bhool Bhulaiyaa alongside Kartik Aaryan. She is also awaiting the release of the romantic comedy Do Aur Do Pyaar starring Pratik Gandhi.
