Prajwal Revanna, Janata Dal (Secular) MP from Hassan in Karnataka, skipped summons from the Special Investigation Team (SIT) launched to investigate the sexual assault case against him. Meanwhile, a case was filed against Samajwadi Party leader Maria Alam after she called on people to engage in “vote jihad” in the Lok Sabha elections. In another development, Delhi Congress chief Arvinder Singh Lovely resigned days after citing the party’s alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party , two other former MPs Neeraj Basoya and Naseeb Singh also resigned from the Congress party.
