Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Kimberley is a beloved influencer with over 137,000 followers, and her videos have reached millions and inspired many. She is best known for her “Get Ready With Me” video documenting her battle with cancer. She first came to attention in 2021 when she used the platform to raise awareness and share her journey. Dr. Nix was 28 years old and in her third and final year of her internal medicine core residency when she was diagnosed with the disease.

She then recorded her final “GRWM” (Get Ready With Me) video, in which she explains herself, her journey and the purpose behind her use of the platform to current fans and potential new viewers. “I cried happy tears because you guys gave me so much purpose at the end of my life,” she said with a smile, revealing how grateful she is for everything, including her husband, Taylor Swift ‘s era tour and more.

What is metastatic sarcoma?

Metastatic sarcoma is a rare cancer that starts in the bone marrow and spreads to connective tissues throughout the body, such as fat and muscle. But if the cancer has spread to other parts of the body, treatment usually focuses on controlling the cancer rather than curing it.
