What is metastatic sarcoma?

Metastatic sarcoma is a rare cancer that starts in the bone marrow and spreads to connective tissues throughout the body, such as fat and muscle. If the cancer is caught early and is limited to the bone marrow and muscle, surgery is often successful and many people are cured. But if the cancer has spread to other parts of the body, treatment usually focuses on controlling the cancer rather than curing it.

“Symptoms of sarcoma are very important because there is no screening test,” Kimberly told People in April. “My symptoms are the most common symptoms of soft tissue sarcoma.” [Everything was] Completely normal – including all my lab data – except for a small but rapidly growing lump on my left leg. “

“I had a rapid change, which led me to see a doctor right away. It went from the size of a pea to the size of a golf ball in just over a week,” she went on to explain her condition.
