Inositol is a type of sugar produced in the body and is also found in foods. “When our bodies struggle to use insulin efficiently, our bodies may also be unable to fully utilize myo-inositol… causing our inositol stores to become depleted,” writes nutritionist Tallene Hacatoryan.
