Candidates are also required to adhere to the dress code mentioned in the information bulletin issued by the testing agency. Dress code instructions are issued to help the institution conduct exams fairly.

Candidates are not allowed to wear thick clothing and/or long-sleeved clothing into the examination room. However, if candidates are wearing cultural/customary attire, they are advised to arrive at the exam center at least one hour before the final reporting time. This is done to allow sufficient time for a proper search to be carried out without causing any inconvenience to the candidate.

Candidates should ensure that they enter the exam center without wearing shoes. Although shoes are not allowed, students may wear flip flops or low-heeled sandals.

NEET UG 2024 will be held in a single shift from 2 pm to 5:20 pm. The exam will be conducted for over 24 lakh candidates at different centers in 557 cities across the country and 14 cities outside India.
